Mesa - OpenGL and GLUT for Linux

1. Grab the latest MesaDemos and MesaLibs from mesa3d.sourceforge.net
2. unpack the tarballs
3. • tar zxvf MesaDemos-4.x.x.tar.gz
   • tar zxvf MesaLibs-4.x.x.tar.gz
4. Configure Mesa
5. • ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc
6. Install Mesa
7. • make && make install
8. Update your library resolutions
9. • ldconfig -v

That's it. Restart your X Windows session to start using the new libs! Enjoy!
