CODE CRUSADER

Code Crusader is a first grade Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Linux.
It use useable as a Java, Fortan, C++ and of course C development station.

It is obtainable at http://www.newplanetsoftware.com/jcc/

In addition, the following rpm's (or libraries) are required

c++ package
libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2

obtain this from www.rpmfind.net

1) Become root
2) gunzip it
3) Move it to /usr/lib chown 555 root.root
4) Run /sbin/ldconfig

libcrypt

obtain glibc-crypt-2.1-3i.i386.rpm from www.rpmfind.net

as a su console
rpm -i glibc-crypt-2.1-3i.i386.rpm

rpm -i --nodeps code_crusader-2.1.3-1.i386.rpm

an alternative is a tarball download. either way you should end up with the following files in /usr/bin

jcc
makemake
ctags
dirdiff

the magic incantation is 'jcc', you can make a link to this on your desktop and you are also advised to use the mime types for a clean browsing application.
