Fairly straightforward once you get past the gibberish. The selections above give you standard floppy, IDE disk and CDROM, and an LS120 or ZIP drive. Since SCSI figures prominently in many installs the generic emulation of scsi is supplied as a throwaway item (ie if you dont have it, you'll want it).

Tape drive backup is fairly obsolete. You can of course select it if you wish. Remember, selecting a module has no affect on your compile or kernel, and causes no harm. If you don't use it, it wont be!
